We have been contacted by Jersey Customs and Immigration, who have asked us to share the following message with our members:

We are currently investigating several instances of postal drug importation. An increase in this type of activity has become apparent since travel restrictions have been put in place.

Customs have noticed that these importers have been targeting addresses where there is a communal postal drop, and unsecured access to the communal postal area.

We would like to make landlords in Jersey aware of this situation and emphasise the importance of keeping access to their buildings secure to tenants, in order to avoid the above from happening and putting tenants at risk of Customs intervention.

It is something we are keen to communicate to Landlords in order to cut off any potential targeted addresses being further used.
