The Environmental Health Department regularly inspect properties that are registered as Lodging Houses with the aim of enforcing minimum standards.

 

Such enforcement, as stipulated by Government, should be conducted with a light touch approach.

 

Some of our members however report these inspections have resulted in Environmental Health imposing sanctions upon them that contravene such a claim.
